Introduce me, Introduce me

Well Hi there.

I guess I should do the whole introduction fiasco, but I hate them so I'll keep it short. The most important information you need to know about me right now is that I'm currently in my third year at University. I do realise that the fact I begun with that fact makes me sound incredibly boring, but it is the most important thing going on in my life at the moment. Not to mention the fact that it's exam time, hence the blogging. Procrastination is my forte. As I've said, I'm a third year studying Biological Sciences, just finishing my first semester which has been incredibly stressful mostly due to my superhuman powers of procrastination which would shock even the most well seasoned procrastinator. However, I have resolved that this will not happen next semester, as I have done every exam season since High School.

This year at Uni has, so far, been markedly more enjoyable though. Before Summer I interviewed to become School Officer of Life Sciences and got it and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Having met lots of lovely new people which I would normally never meet and not to mention the opportunities that have presented themselves because of it. The most exciting of which was travelling down to London by coach for the infamous National Union of Student's Demo. I feel I should point out that I was one of the peaceful protesters, and it was an absolutely magnificent day. To be surrounded by 5000 odd people all as equally passionate as myself about this issue.

And this leads me on to the next fact about myself, I'm a little bit of a geek sometimes. Both about Biology and Politics. Saying this, I am a firm believer in people being able to have a Scientific as well as a Creative mind, as I believe I have both. I'm not saying I'm artistically talented, or a virtuoso, but I do thoroughly appreciate art in all it's forms. And I strongly oppose the stereotype that one who is scientifically-minded cannot be anything but scientifically-minded.

And now, as I have noticed the time, I think I should round up. Also, apologies for the layout template thing, it looks a little wrong just now, but when I have time I'll do it up real nice for you lot.

And so, it was lovely to meet you.
We should do this again sometime.
