Burt's Bees Hand Salve and Day Cream Review

Now I've had my Burt's Bees products for a while, I've had a chance to properly try out some of the samples. First up, I recieved a teeny little tin of Hand Salve to try out.

It has a strong medicinal oily smell (not a great description, but it smells very similar to Burt's Bees original lip salve) which I happen to love. My first thought about this product would be that I would have to use it at night as the oily salve would take a long time to be absorbed into my skin/cuticles, however I was happily mistaken.

The product sinks in so quickly and leaves my hands amazingly soft. I was really surprised as I didn't think this would be my kind of thing, but I really love it and will probably repurchase the full size tin! That won't be for a while though as a little goes a long way with this.

I also recieved a little sample of Burt's Bees Radiance Day Cream.

It's a really moisturising cream with a light honey scent (much like the rest of the Radiance range which I'll probably review later) however for my skin which tends to be more on the oily side, it was just a bit too heavy for a day cream.

I did try it overnight as well, as it was a very decent sized sample, but I still felt it was a bit too thick and heavy for me. I think it would probably work best for someone with dry skin, but it just didn't agree with my oily complexion.

Hope you're all having a good weekend!

  1. Thanks for that - I might try some of the hand salve; I suffer from very dry hands :-(

    1. I'm so glad I got it in mine as it's not the sort of thing I would normally try, and now I carry it around with me everywhere! x
