Quick Update!

It's certainly been a busy couple of days! Mainly university stuff, and I can't complain because I love it.

I managed to look out my camera, which was unceremoniously thrown aside as soon as my iPhone came into the picture (sorry camera). So hopefully the pictures will be of marginally better quality in this post!

The other day I had a little wait before my bus home, so I popped into Superdrug to have a look around - but mainly to get out of the rain - and ended up treating myself to a few things:

Superdrugs' own Tea Tree spot stick
Superdrugs' own brand Powder Brush
Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder
Rimmel London Lycra Pro nail varnish in "Hot List"

I can't remember what blog I read in on (!) but I had heard great things about this powder, and it certainly does the job well! I was really impressed with it seeing as how cheap it was too :)

The nail varnish I think I really like. It's a little bit of an unusual colour. Kind of a dusky, beigy, purple with like a bright purple sheen on it. It's quite an Autumnal colour and I think it's going to grow on me...

I also treated myself to a new purse from Accesorize seeing as they have a 20% off for students at the moment...

I love it's cute little button!

And I love the lining even more...

And as another treat to myself... I ordered a bunch of new inserts for my filofax. They have a 4 for 3 deal on their "Paper Essentials" and you get free delivery if you order a 2012 diary insert - so I made the most of it!

I ordered lots of new notepaper (coloured, of course!), because they hardly gave me any to begin with. And I've stocked up on the to-do list paper, which I've found super useful! I've also ordered some of the day planner inserts, hopefully that will help me organise my time better during the day.

And finally I got 2011 and 2012 year planners, which I think are a kind of pull outey things. I'm going to use them to help me keep track of long-term goals - mainly my dissertation.

When all this comes through I'm hoping to reorganise my filofax a bit. At the moment I don't think I'm using it as best I can, with sections being left unused...

and with my diary pages being a bit of an unorganised mess...

I thought about getting two day view inserts so I'd have more room to write things down, but I like being able to see the whole week in front of me.

Anyway that's all for now. I'm off to spend the night reading textbooks and thinking about Christmas presents - yes I'm excited for Christmas already - don't judge me!

Peace H x

  1. Shorthand is another language. I'm about 70 words a minute and I have to get up to 100 ideally, which only 1 in 10 people doing my course do, statistically. You have to retrain your brain and practice every day. x
